IT System & Support Engineer
We are looking for a motivated IT System & Support Engineer to strengthen Lamco Services’ IT team.
In this role, you will support and maintain both our internal infrastructure and that of our customers. You ensure reliability, security, and continuous improvement in a dynamic environment that spans classic office IT, software development, and cloud services.
As part of Lamco’s role as a Managed Service Provider (MSP) within our group of companies, you help deliver consistent, high-quality IT services, with documentation, planning, and compliance at the core.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, learns quickly, and can balance working independently with effective collaboration in a small but professional team.
Key Responsibilities
Operational IT Support
• Provide fast and effective support to users, systems, and applications.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents across servers, endpoints, networks, and applications.
System and Network Administration
• Maintain and support Windows and Linux systems, Active Directory, and network infrastructure.
• Manage user accounts, access rights, and device configurations in line with security and compliance requirements.
Cloud and Application Management
• Support Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
• Support vendor services within AWS environments.
• Deploy, update, and maintain applications used by both office and development teams.
Structured Work and Documentation
• Maintain clear documentation of configurations, procedures, and changes.
• Contribute to planning and progress tracking of smaller projects and operational improvements.
Security and Compliance
• Apply IT security and compliance practices in daily operations such as patching, access management, and backup validation.
• Follow established procedures to ensure ISO 27001 compliance and related requirements.
Continuous Improvement and Research
• Research new tools, solutions, and best practices to increase reliability, security, and efficiency.
• Propose improvements based on findings and help test selected technologies.
Collaboration and Autonomy
• Work independently on assigned tasks, coordinating effectively with the IT Manager and colleagues.
• Support team objectives and share knowledge to strengthen overall IT capacity.
Ideal Profile
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
Experience
• Ideally 1–3 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar technical role.
• A motivated starter with strong technical skills and the right mindset will also be considered.
Technical Skills
• Strong knowledge of Windows environments, basic knowledge of Linux and networking concepts such as VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure, and AWS.
• Experience with IT service tools such as ticketing, remote support, and monitoring.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity practices such as patching, access control, and backups.
• Understanding of the needs of both office environments and software or hardware development teams.
Soft Skills
• Eager to learn and motivated to stay up to date with new technologies.
• Able to work independently and contribute efficiently within a team.
• Highly structured, organized, and accurate in documentation and time management.
• Strong communication skills and service oriented.
• Curious and proactive in researching and proposing new solutions.
